Guess what!! They just opened up a new floor in our wing of the building I moved to at work 2.5 years ago, and some of the people from our department moved downstairs. Which frees up a bunch of space on our floor, which is great, because we have been really crammed, and struggling to find desks for everyone, and there have been lots of terrible, though creative, attempts to make room or find space or squash too many people into too small areas in order to give people a place to work, and it’s been kind of a drag.
Not to mention the fact that I’ve been super unhappy about sitting in open landscape for the past 2.5 years and I think my concentration has suffered because of it, and my patience (never plentiful) has been depleted and my stress level, already borderline, has been increased and now, NOW, my team is moving into some of that vacated space and
GUESS WHAT!!!
I get an OFFICE.
A room. With a door. And a window. Where I can see TREES and SKY.
You have no idea how happy I am about this.
I will be sharing with 2 of my teammates but that’s fine; it’s a big room. And besides, they’re not the talkative ones that drive me crazy, and did I mention there’s a WINDOW???
