When I went off to college, it was right after my family had moved back to the States from Germany, and none of us wanted to go home. We wanted to stay in Europe, but that was the beginning of the military downsizing and subsequent closing of bases, so my dad couldn’t find a job to stay at that point. Had a lovely sleep-in this morning which I do so appreciate 🙂 Heard from my mom that my sister and her family are back from Isabel evacuation and all’s well, despite no power (with a freezer full of food, so hope it comes back on soon) and a tree down on their car. This is slated to be an AWC work and collage book weekend, with sushi-making at cooking club tomorrow. 🙂 🙂 …assuming I can tear myself away from the computer… ha!
