Well, that went fast! John and family arrived just in time for dinner on Saturday and we were going full throttle ever since. We had absolutely perfect weather the entire week as well; Sweden showing off its best side. The lilacs are in full bloom and our yard is looking beautiful thanks to Anders. We played lots of games including Yardtzee (coined by Karin), 0-100, Uno, City-Country-Idiot, and lots of Trivial Pursuit questions. The kids were great, and Lola was the most well-behaved dog ever. We went to Lund’s Pinball Academy, and the Moose tour, and played mini-golf. We had pizza THREE times (at least I did). Karin and Martin joined us for various days and even Theo and Essie tagged along a couple of times. I had a couple of quiet days at home, getting things done, while everyone else went kayaking, and mountain biking. It was great. I hope we can get together again soon. They left just after lunch today and the house was so quiet afterwards. We had laundry going and finishing up all kinds of trip preparations, and I’m ready to hit the hay already though it’s only 9:30. John and family are ensconced in a cozy Swedish cottage on the water about 2 hours north of us until next week, and Anders and I are ready for our roadtrip to Normandy!
