BONNY DAYS IN EDINBURGH

The evening sun is shining over Arthur’s Seat and Anders and the kids have set out to climb it while the sun is still up, so I’m grabbing the opportunity to post an entry at the internet café around the corner from our lodgings. We’re staying in a sterile dormitory apartment that is quite roomy for the 4 of us as it has a long corridor with 4 separate dorm rooms opening off it, a kitchen, and a bathroom. No other amenities, really, it’s barebones for students here. The hostel we stayed at the first night in Glasgow was much...

Wish me luck singing! studiozoe and her Tobey are housesitting for us, for which favor I am very grateful. 🙂 And I will wish YOU luck with a contest that I have devised to keep you occupied (and get comments, lots and lots of pretty, pretty...

MANY TIMES, MANY WAYS

Why can’t I think of anything to write about other than the half-finished tasks, all of which seem to be Christmas-related, that I can’t seem to settle to? Anders is gone to Italy for 3 days on a business trip and I’m restless without him. Tomorrow is book group and if Karin doesn’t turn the cough she was threatening me with tonight into a full-fledged cold I’ll have to take them with me. I didn’t get the book re-read either, because Sherlock keeps hanging on for just a few more chapters, a few more pages. It’s taken me FOREVER to...

THERE IS ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS SOMETHING TO BE THANKFUL FOR

A week is too long. I start to stumble and slide. My temper slips, and slithers a bit. I don’t know how single parents do it, I honestly don’t. Anders is home, even if for just a one-night-stand-stop, in the midst of his business trip, and suddenly I’m walking on sunshine again. 🙂 It helped that the SUN was also walking on sunshine again today. How many days in a row is that? I’ve lost count! UNPRECEDENTED! It’s been a magical autumn with all the unaccustomed sunshine we’ve had in Sweden, long may it continue! It makes it so much...
