Super tired (as always), and wasn’t feeling very good this morning, so I called in semi-sick, went back to bed, slept for an hour, then answered some emails, got up, showered and dressed, and reported for work at my home desk at 11:30 am and worked (very slowly) all afternoon until 4, which is my usual quittin’ time. Thought it was maybe a head cold, but now I’m not so sure. Headachey and just feeling a bit “off” but don’t seem to be sick with anything specific. NO no no no no. I CANNOT AFFORD TO BE SICK. I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO BE SICK. Ugh.
We are hosting our annual Friendsgiving at the end of this week, so you can see the slightest whiff of illness has me a little panicked. We are quite ready, really. The grocery list is written, I need to do some cleaning, and then actually go shopping for the last food items on Thursday or Friday. I have a huge note on the kitchen counter that reads:
TUES – TAKE THE TURKEYS OUT
WED – TAKE THE TURKEY OUT
because Anders will cook 2 of them on Friday and the last one on Saturday. He has to go on Friday to pick up the rental table and chairs, and I need to coordinate picking up all the kids on Saturday, but other than that, ASSUMING I DON’T ACTUALLY GET SICK, we are good to go for Saturday. We’re down 5 people this year, but Karin is bringing 2 friends in addition to her girlfriend so we’re “only” 24 altogether. And that’s also assuming no one ELSE gets sick (someone almost always does).
It’s nearly 8 pm and my husband is just pulling into the driveway, home from work super late. He’s working in Landskrona this week and the customer there seems to keep them hopping every time. Which is a bummer because I was hoping he could look at the car.
We are having charger issues, as there seems to be something wrong with our charging unit at home, and in addition, someone in Lund (or multiple someones) is going around keying giant swastikas on to the hoods of Teslas. š There have been 13 cases reported in the news since mid-October, and an Axis colleague had his Tesla vandalized last week with one and was told by the repair shop that he was the 10th to come in THAT DAY with the same vandalism and 43 cases total. !!! I hate Elon as much as the next right-minded person, but come on, what the hell. We’ve talked about selling the Tesla since everything went crazy in the US 2 years ago, but who would buy it? No one is buying Teslas here. I wonder now if someone has vandalized our charging unit on the side of our garage. Anyway, more news to come as events develop.
