THREE THINGS

I was looking for journal prompts, but thought: O! I can write a list. That is always fun, because I love lists. I wrote “So, without further ado” to precede writing a three things list, but then I had to stop and google the word “ado”. We don’t use it enough! It’s such a handy word! Did you know that it can mean all of these things? Bustle and commotion, unnecessary trouble, delay or fuss; or worry and excitement. That’s a lot of weight for a little 3-letter word to carry.

So, without further ado: three things!

Three things still on my to-do list

  • Send in my medical complaint form
  • Update the inheritence inventory
  • Renovate the park bench

Three things I’ve already done today

  • Cleaned out and organized the storage room
  • Vacuumed the house
  • Added more stuff to the pile for Flyingeloppis

Three book samples recently downloaded

  • A Woman in the Polar Night by Christiane Ritter
  • Becoming by Michelle Obama
  • Swordheart by T. Kingfisher

Three really good books I’ve read recently

  • Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy
  • The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon
  • The Incandescent by Emily Tesh

Three things I’ve thought about a lot lately

  • America imploding
  • Staying healthy
  • How to keep the weight off

Three places I still really want to travel to

  • Mont Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo
  • Prince Edward Island
  • The Netherlands (yes, again)

Three things I’m looking forward to

  • Glyptoteket tomorrow with Camilla
  • All the theater events I have tickets for this fall
  • Going to the US for Christmas

Three projects in the pipeline

  • Family photobook for Christmas
  • Replacing the playroom TV
  • Learning more about photo editing

Three lists I need to tackle

  • Movies to watch
  • Downloaded Kindle samples
  • TV series to watch

Three things with no context or reference

  • All the inside spiders
  • Cookie tray rust removal
  • Vacation days

Mood: productive

I wish I could make lists all day. Photo editing, good one!😂

Why can’t we make lists all day? That seems like an excellent way to spend the day. Maybe it depends on the kinds of lists. If it were to-do lists, I would then have to actually DO the things on the lists, though my to-do lists can take years to finish. Which is fine. They keep me honest. 😀
