BIG BOOBS

That’s what I’ve got. They’re huge. I hate them. Today I’m wearing a brand new bra that my mother got for me, and unfortunately, I feel like I ought to be wearing an 1800’s decolletage gown that pushes up my bosom, at a ball, with a lacy fan in front of me, my hair up in sweeping curls and a beauty mark on my cheek. Whoa.

Our house is getting to the point of being so clean that if the sun was shining, it would sparkle. 3 more rooms done today and the floors in the entire house except the living/dining room, which will just have to wait until next weekend. I can’t believe it’s taking THREE weekends to thoroughly clean this monster.

Karin went a birthday party today and on the way home she told me that they had played a game that involved having a rat in your mouth that you then ran and spit out at something. ?? Maybe it was the Swedish, but wha??

I’ve got boobs on my mind because I’m putting 2 articles on breast cancer and breast self-examination on the AWC website this month. I would love to get a breast reduction, except that I’m such a chicken when it comes to pain, and I have 2 cousins who had them and they both said it was so worth it, but it hurt like a son-of-a-bitch. I suppose if I would just lose some weight, some of it would have to come off my chest, n’est ce pas?

Found this lovely poem in a calligraphy art gallery:

I will make you brooches and toys for your delight
Of bird-song at morning and star-shine at night,
I will make a palace fit for you and me
Of green days in forests, and blue days at sea.
I will make my kitchen, and you shall keep your room,
Where white flows the river and bright blows the broom;
And you shall wash your linen and keep your body white
In rainfall at morning and dewfall at night.
And this shall be for music when no one else is near,
The fine song for singing, the rare song to hear!
That only I remember, that only you admire,
Of the broad road that stretches and the roadside fire.
~Robert Louis Stevenson

Tomorrow is an American Sunday Brunch in Helsingborg and a visit to a Tropikariet (some place with rain forest animals) with the kids. Anders isn’t going because he has hockey-bockey in the afternoon.
