It’s supposed to continue through tomorrow as well, so I’m quite glad that a) we have no plans that require leaving the house and b) I have an excellent excuse to be a slug all morning, which is what I did today, after falling back asleep at some point around 6 and sleeping all the way to 8:22 am! Highly unusual these days. I stayed in bed and read and played iPad games and such for a couple of hours, then got up, showered, started laundry, vacuumed, started the dishwasher, and then worked on my photo project. I’m very nearly done with it, which is great, because I want to send it to print as soon as possible. I’ve also been working on my latest crossword puzzle and am about halfway done with the clues. And I’ve dealt with a bunch of AIC stuff, too. So, despite being a lazybutt for most of the morning, I’ve accomplished rather a lot since, and I feel very relaxed, though it helps that I’m avoiding mirrors so I don’t freak out about my stupid hair. Anders cleaned the bathtub well which, despite my best efforts to clean out the drain every day, was full of my stupid stupid hair.

I have a few notebooks sitting on our desk and I pulled out one of them to see if it had an address in it, and then started flipping through it and ripping out pages of ancient to-do lists and other miscellaneous notes until there were no pages left at all. HA! I found this, which seems to be stream-of-consciousness semi-poetry made from an autumn walk around the village, some years ago.

Glowing sparkles of gnats, someone has just beamed up.
Sweden’s love herb is blushing.
Crickets – speed clock, ticking harmony.
Snail trail light at the end of the tunnel, redolent of leaf mold, stagnating creek bed and the shit of small dogs.
The light blinds until my vision is reduced to a squinted glory-filled circle.
The net of tiny violets, each no bigger than my smallest fingernail, has escaped their confines and wanders over the evergreen canopy.
Nasturtiums glow. Fruit trees heavy with plunder.
I come up behind an old lady walking under the pears, two adolescent kittens gambol around and behind her.
They’re so cute, I say, are they yours? No, they’re just so tame they follow right along.
I laugh. I thought you were out for a walk with your cats. I am, she smiles, in a way.
Hedges that were bright with blossoms earlier are now embroidered with berries.
Rowans are holiday harbingers with dangling beaded ornamentation. Red and luscious plump handfuls of crimson and orange.

In health news: Still losing hair. Still waiting on results and responses from my doctors. Have scheduled an appointment in 1.5 weeks with a therapist/psychologist. Intestinal issues have improved a bit, which is a relief, but I don’t know why, since I didn’t start any of the new meds my doctor prescribed to help them. Eyes continue to work. Knees still attached.

Mood: resigned
Music: Perrie—Sand Dancer

A major storm has swept in over Sweden and down here in Skåne we’ve been having high winds and a total downpour all day.
