I really appreciate my downtime, when I have the house to myself, even though I love having my family home, too. Today, I got up super early (for a Saturday) to take Anders to the train station to catch the 7:20 am train. The moon was full and huge and shining like a giant silver coin in the black sky, but on the way home, the sky was lightening and turning orange and lavender and purple, even though the sun wasn’t all the way up. There were no clouds, and all day we had sunshine and blue skies, though it is very cold, staying at 0 degrees Celcius all day.

I am hoping this is my last weekend of coughing…today I feel normal, though I haven’t talked much at all, so it’s hard to say. I can breathe and I’m not stuffed up (at least not more than normal), and I feel pretty okay. I didn’t go for a walk in the sunshine, though, even though I wanted to, since it was so cold, and I didn’t want to aggravate my throat. Time enough for that once I am sure I’m back to 100% healthy.

Martin is working tonight, and doesn’t get off until 10:30, which means he won’t be at the bus stop in Gårdstånga most likely until 11 or even 11:30. I have not napped, because I did manage to fall back asleep when I got home from taking Anders to the station. I’m going to watch Melodifestivalen, which starts today, at 8 pm, and I think that will get me to 10 pm at least. I am glad that it will be over before I go to the States on March 17, so I won’t miss any of it. I hope it’s a good one this year, but it’s best to keep your expectations low when it comes to Melodifestivalen.

I’ve been reading all day, and cleaning. I thoroughly cleaned our bedroom, even dusting and vacuuming the ceiling fan! Martin and I took the recyclables out, and past time, too. The plastics and cardboard bins were STUFFED both outside and inside. The trucks for those don’t come nearly often enough. I think they only come once a month, and because the bins outside were so full, we couldn’t empty the inside ones into them, and they were overflowing. The trucks finally came yesterday, but that means we just filled the outside bins right up again.

Tomorrow, I’m tackling the bathroom, for a thorough cleaning, and to wash the shower curtains and hang the new shower curtain liners I ordered from IKEA. Their website said the liners are being removed from their collection soon, and I am a bit ticked about that, because I’ve been using their liners for 26 years and don’t know where I’ll fine replacements. I only replace them after several years of use, when they are ripping, so it’s not that often, but still.

Is this post about recyclables and housecleaning and shower curtain liners more boring than the ones about me being sick? It’s a toss-up! HAHAA. No wonder no one reads this blog anymore.

Mood: silly
Music: Johan Armatrading—Drop the Pilot

Are you sad and lonely when you’re alone or are you quite chuffed about it?
