{"id":751,"date":"2005-01-18T20:21:00","date_gmt":"2005-01-19T02:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lizardek.com\/blog\/index.php\/2005\/01\/18\/not-a-meme\/"},"modified":"2022-07-05T14:54:22","modified_gmt":"2022-07-05T12:54:22","slug":"not-a-meme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/lizardek.com\/blog\/index.php\/2005\/01\/18\/not-a-meme\/","title":{"rendered":"NOT A MEME"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It occurs to me that this looks like a meme, but really it&#8217;s just me trying to jumpstart a journal entry.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Things I&#8217;ve Never Done That I&#8217;m Proud of<\/b>: smoked a cigarette, worn beer goggles, driven recklessly<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I Wouldn&#8217;t Do Even If You Paid Me<\/b>: bungee-jump, eat snails, be unfaithful to my husband<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I&#8217;ve Done But Wouldn&#8217;t Do Again<\/b>: given birth, lied about something important, approached an unfamiliar dog<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I Would Do in a Heartbeat<\/b>: play Euchre, help a friend in need, hide candy from the children<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I Would Do Right Now If I Could Find the Motivation<\/b>: edit photos, update webpages, exercise<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I Might Do If You Paid Me<\/b>: move, get a tattoo, the Hokey-Pokey<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I Do All the Time That  I Probably Shouldn&#8217;t<\/b>: swear, buy chocolate, drive faster than the speed limit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nope. Didn&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Things That Don&#8217;t Work on Me<\/b>: tickling my feet, telling me I&#8217;ll go to hell, reverse psychology<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I Used to Think Were Cool<\/b>: clogs, Rick Springfield, smart-mouthed replies<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I&#8217;ve Learned the Hard Way<\/b>: friendships aren&#8217;t likely to weather betrayal but the ones that do are SO worth it; that sometimes the choice you make between your man and your cats isn&#8217;t the one you thought it would be once; white clothing and I just really don&#8217;t belong together<\/li>\n<li><b>Things I Could Think of to Post About That Would Be Even Less Entertaining Than These Lists<\/b>: rashes, cleaning the bathroom drain, my to-do list<\/li>\n<li><b>Things That Will Leave You Wondering and Hoping For More<\/b>:*  the cop said &#8220;Do you thinks it&#8217;s fun to offend the police?&#8221;; I knew exactly what would happen when I met her; there&#8217;s not much dirt on me, that&#8217;s chocolate, that is.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I give up.<\/p>\n<p><b>Very Strange Very Happy Birthday Wishes to <a href=\"http:\/\/somebodystrange.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">somebodystrange<\/a>!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"-2\">*but, alas, doomed to disappointment<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It occurs to me that this looks like a meme, but really it&#8217;s just me trying to jumpstart a journal entry.
